Maureen Cary, LMHC, M.A.
Ms. Cary completed her education and training at the Lynch School of Education at Boston College where she received her master's degree in Counseling Psychology. She has experience working with clients ranging from young children through adulthood, as well as providing family counseling, educational advising and parenting consultation. She has specialized in group therapy, with particular focus on adolescents and adults with co-occurring substance use issues. Her clinical background includes working with addictive behaviors and obsessive compulsive disorders; anxiety, depression and other mood-related disorders; and various trauma-related issues, from early sexual and physical abuse to on-going relationship issues. Her clinical interests include using holistic treatment approaches such as yoga, mindfulness, exercise and music to help clients incorporate coping mechanisms into their daily lives. Ms. Cary also has a strong interest in Family Systems therapy and journaling.
