Stacy Oliver, LMHC
Stacy Oliver is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over a decade of experience engaging with a wide range of diverse clientele from numerous Massachusetts communities. Additionally, she has served clients in multiple contexts including inpatient, outpatient, virtual, and in the home. From her broad experience, she has built a versatile skill set that she lends to her clients to help them meet the unique challenges in their lives.
Stacy completed her undergraduate degree of Psychology and English from Assumption College and went on to complete her graduate studies at Bridgewater State University. She completed her internship hours as a counselor and medical advocate for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault at a nonprofit organization. Stacy went on to work inpatient before expanding her skills for home based behavioral services, consulting and outpatient therapy. Currently, Stacy is working in a private group practice as a certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapist serving teens and adults through individual therapy, couples therapy and leading multiple groups weekly.
She believes in collaborating CBT, DBT, Solution Focused and Trauma Focused models to treat a client. Stacy specializes in post traumatic stress disorder, eating disorders, self harming behaviors, anger management, behavioral interventions and family education, relationship difficulties, borderline personality disorders, mood disorders, obsessive and compulsive disorders.
Stacy practices a holistic model and believes in treating the individual as opposed to using a “one treatment fits all” approach. Stacy’s well rounded diagnostic knowledge guides her and her clients in a process to collaboratively and constructively create customized treatment plans that are tailored to the unique circumstances of their lives. She understands that mental health is influenced by many elements in an individual’s life and her big picture approach is effective in helping her clients realize the entirety of their mental health.
